What Happened:
At around 3:15 PM EST, we identified a service outage with Nearmap, which temporarily disrupted the ability to view project imagery in RoofSnap.
Our Response:
- As soon as the issue was detected, our team worked directly with Nearmap’s support team to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.
- By 6:15 PM EST, Nearmap services appeared fully restored, and functionality was back to normal.
Who Was Impacted:
This outage may have affected users accessing project imagery during the afternoon. Based on usage data, an average of 21 unique users per hour were actively viewing this feature, with peak activity seen between 12 PM and 3 PM EST.
Next Steps:
- We're working with Nearmap to implement safeguards and improve response times for future incidents..
