Material Labels and Pins are free extras to add to your completed sketch orders and DIY sketches!
Pins and Material Labels (also known as sub-line labels) are the building blocks of estimates in RoofSnap, but they can also add lots of helpful information to your sketch report. Read below to learn more:
Material Labels allow you to get measurements for materials like drip edge, ridge vent, and ice & water shield.
To add Material Labels, select a project, open the sketch, and follow the steps below:
1. Click into the Edges menu at the top.
2. Select a line label to view its associated materials.
3. Click each item to select it and then click the corresponding lines in the sketch to add the labels. You will see the labels appear as you click. Multiple labels can be added at the same time. For instance, if you're adding drip edge and gutters on your eaves, you will want to select both and add them at the same time.
4. Click "Done" in the upper right corner to save your changes.
→ Be sure to generate a fresh sketch report document to reflect your updates.
Pins allow you to create a site map to include with your Sketch Report. You can add inspection notes and photos, or just note the location of specific roof accessories and penetrations.
To add Pins to mark accessories and penetrations, select a project, open the sketch, and follow the steps below:
1. Click into the Pins menu at the top.
2. Select a category to open its materials sub-menu.
3. Click an item to select it and then click on the sketch to drop the pin.
4. Click Done in the upper right corner to save your changes.
→ Be sure to generate a fresh sketch report document to reflect your updates.
