Features I would like to see, I have a bunch!!
- Material manager should be set up in a way that we enter the cost of the "orderable Qty" . This would seem to make the most sense as you are already adding the coverage. This would reduce the difficulty in creating items as it can be convoluted as in we estimate trim and the board covers 18' but when it comes to shingles its 3 bundles to a SQ which is different
- Ability to "copy line item" in Material manager. Some of our items have 10 sub items built into them and re creating them is a PAIN IN THE A** for on change like siding line items that use all the same stuff but 1 siding type is different
- Ability to take an item created in one category in material manager and move it to another. Currently I have to delete and recreate it (this is also symptomatic of not being able to use custom lines or facet labels)
- MORE THAN 5 ESTIMATES!!!!
- Option to turn on "override" on specific estimates or the whole project
- "Duplicate estimate" When manually entering estimates it would be nice to duplicate so that the amount of manual entry is reduced
- Load multiple "Templates" into the same estimate
- Ability to assign "Trades" to custom lines or edit trades of existing items at users discretion
- A link in the web app to "Feature requests" for more engagement. just saying
- A bank of "Custom line labels" I.E. eave: eave edge, gut, gut topers, Custom a, custom b, custom c, custom d. I have stolen labels to estimate products that are not part of the program (trim, decks, siding)
- A bank of custom facet labels (same as above) again I have stolen different facet labels to do different things like Ice and water low pitch areas, I stole 2 story for this and now it calculates the number of rolls of ice and water I need for those areas, another would be decks, I would love a label that would work like "low slope" that would exclude the area from roof estimates but would calculate "deck area"
I think that is it for now. Lets see if anyone looks at this stuff.... I have made most of these requests before and would be willing to speak with someone from the technical side about how I envision them working.
